The University of Queensland (UQ) is one of the most prestigious universities in Australia, located in Brisbane, the capital of Queensland. Founded in 1909, UQ is the oldest university in Queensland and is one of the Group of Eight leading research universities in Australia.

The University of Queensland was founded to meet the educational needs of Queensland's growing population and to promote scientific research. UQ's mission is to promote scientific knowledge, foster innovation, and provide high-quality education to its students. UQ has several campuses:

• St. Lucia: The university's main campus is located on a beautiful peninsula along the Brisbane River. It is the largest campus where most faculties and research institutes are concentrated.
• Gatton: A campus specializing in agricultural sciences and veterinary medicine, located approximately 90 km west of Brisbane.
• Herston: This campus includes the Schools of Health and Medical Sciences, next to leading hospitals.

The University of Queensland is structured into six faculties, each of which includes different schools and departments.:
